‘Two Nails’ is the final track from Year of the Brother’s new EP, ‘Filling Empty Pools’.

The song begins with electronic instrumentals which are swiftly accompanied by a frenetic beat. From here the track builds steadily towards its spirited conclusion, never losing momentum and oozing with style.

The indie-pop threesome’s video has a cinematic flair, comprising of an impressive one-take tracking shot through an apartment building. The murky setting initially offsets the upbeat current of the song, but the visuals become increasingly lively as the camera follows the band through hallways and up staircases towards a roof bathed in light.

When the band make their way outside skyscrapers can be seen in the distance, giving the video a larger-than-life feel, and the Los Angeles skyline provides a beautiful backdrop for the track’s delightfully energetic climax. As the vocals discreetly cut out you’ll find that you’re fully immersed in the experience, likely smiling as the trio don their instruments before the screen fades to black.

‘Two Nails’ is an uplifting track with an entertaining and ambitious video, held together by three people who clearly have a passion for what they’re doing.
