Tygersounds brings us a painfully cool new track with ‘Sick Of Sitting Around’.

It rings influence from the electric 80s, and resembles the likes of Depeche Mode meets The Pet Shop Boys and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, with some Tears or Fears thrown in to top off the vocal style.  With an immensely nostalgic sound to it, you would be forgiven for thinking this track is from the era of the electric 80s rather than 2018.  It’s slick and funky, and you’ll have it on a loop after the first playback.

Opening with a beat that resembles a funk sound kicking off akin to the likes of Cameo’s ‘Word Up’, this track is then transformed with the introduction of the synth, which carries the song through its entirety.  The first few seconds sound as though it’s playing through a cassette, before the backing elements fill out.  Tygersound’s vocals are raw and authentic throughout, and the way they slightly echo within themselves creates the impression of perhaps loneliness, longing for someone.  This is an enchanting track, and a spectacular reminder of how electro-pop lives on.
