Tiana Major9 – Levee [Review]

Creative force Tiana Major9 has dropped her second single Levee, serving up a delicate fusion of jazz, neo-soul and RnB.

The newest single was produced by PRGRSHN (Wretch 32, WSTRN, Angel), and showcases Tiana’s smooth vocals and songwriting talent.

Taking influence from some of the greats from across the jazz genre, including Esperanza Spalding and Amy Winehouse, hip-hop legend Lauryn Hill, and neo-soul pioneer D’Angelo, Levee flaunts a seamless blend of self-penned alternative R&B bursting with soul.

According to Tiana, the creation of the single was a collaborative process by the trials and tribulations of falling in love and leaving pride and fear at the door.

Although new to the industry, she’s played many stages across Europe, having supported acts such as Ray BLK and Ella Eyre, and more recently performing on BBC 1Xtra’s ‘Home-Grown’ show with DJ Target.

Critically acclaimed by the likes of MTV The Wrap Up and Viper for her debut release Merry Go, Tiana Major9 is already making waves across the urban scene.

Levee is the first single to be released from Tiana’s forthcoming debut EP and gives a taste of what to expect from the release in early 2018. The single release will be supported by a number of upcoming live shows, keep an eye out for dates and locations on her social media pages.
