The Lightness of Being – Stay [Review]

Hailing from London, rock band The Lightness of Being have released their new single ‘Stay’.

The quartet began in 2010 and have released 3 EPs to date. The group draws influences from Deftones, Mastodon, and At the Drive-In among others. Playing shows mostly in the nation’s capital, their fan base is strong and constantly growing.

The song itself is intense, and definitely not for the faint of heart. Vocals that are grimey in the best way possible pierce you right to the core. The guitar acts as a wailing siren that gives the song an emphasis on emotion and tone. It is certainly dynamic, and commands the listeners attention to catch all the parts that make up the whole of the song.
