The Bay Rays – Begin Again [Review]

The Bay Rays serve up a catchy, guitar driven track “Begin Again”.

This track’s colourful guitar riffs showcase the pure talent of the band, complemented perfectly by the unique vocals.

The three-piece consisting of Harry Nicoll, Maxwell Oakley and Anthus Davis formed in 2015 when they received a heavy following in their local area. Recently, they have made a contribution to “The Forum: 25 Years and On” which was a compilation celebrating a local venue to The Bay Rays in Tunbridge Wells.

The Bay Rays frontman, Harry Nicoll said: “’Begin Again’ is about reflection and new beginnings, shedding away from old to new, from love to life to friendships.”

Satisfaction”, a previous single released by the rock three-piece is close to achieving 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Alongside this immense achievement, The Bay Rays also headlined Glastonbury’s BBC Introducing Stage. The band were also shortlisted for this years Best Rock Act at the Unsigned Music Awards.

The Bay Rays have received a vast amount of support from influential individuals such as Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Abbie McCarthy and Steve Lamacq. There has also been a noticeable amount of support and backing from Noisey, DIY and Clash on social media.

“Begin Again” is the first track to be lifted from the bands new EP “Darkness and Doubt” which will be released on August 24th.
