Pat Knox – Pat Knox EP [Review]

Rapper and singer/songwriter Pat Knox has released his eponymous EP.

Catch Ventura County, California native Pat Knox making moves with six new songs under his self-titled EP. Incredulously catchy and cohesive, the songs bind together to form one of the strongest rap-genre extended play records of 2019 so far.

While tempting to listen to the whole EP in one go, the songs are strong enough to stand on their own. Standouts include ‘Mojave,’ ‘Living in Color’ and ‘Business’.

With vocals similar to the likes of Bazzi or Post Malone, Knox distinguishes himself by mixing his rap lyrics with R&B and rock influences; synthetic sounds and organs come together to form a renaissance of rap.

As Knox asks in his song ‘Business,’ “Why not be a junkie for something that gets the money?” fans can only hope that the rapper is addicted to creating music—demand for a full album is almost undeniable.
