Palace Winter – Come Back (Left Behind) [Review]

Thoughtful, rosy and satisfying. The Place Winter boys have dropped their newest single ‘Come Back.’

The duo from Copenhagen have had a jam packed few months. Releasing two new singles, as well as playing a sold out show in London, and announcing their upcoming UK tour, the boys have been non-stop.

Since they burst on to the music scene with their first single ‘Take Shelter’, Palace Winter have received a significant amount of attention. The boys have been playlisted on Radio 6 music as well as Elton John’s Rocket Hour on Beats one.

Their newest single ‘Come Back’ though sprightly in its sound is full of meaning. The song explores the challenges of anxiety that come hand in hand with the loss of a lover. The songs dark theme jared against its pop synth sound provides a positive outlook on a difficult topic. This song is less guitar focused than their previous two tracks and thus has put a new spin on their sound. The duo’s album ‘Nowadays’ which is soon to be released will be in keeping with the style ‘Come Back’. Therefore, fans should expect an album that focuses on high energy songs with insisting beats.

‘Come Back’ is a joy to listen to and I adore the deeper message behind the sound. I would definitely recommend giving it a listen.
