Only The Poets – Dead Young [Review]

UK based indie pop band, Only the Poets have released their latest song ‘Dead young’ which comes ahead of their support slot on Coasts headline April UK tour.

The band consists of four members, Tommy, Jules, Charlie and Roo,  who are based in Reading and London. After numerous festivals and UK tour appearances throughout 2017 they decided it was time for new music.

Dead Young is an upbeat indie rock anthem, infused with pop goodness. The song is comprised of percussion and delicate guitar tones which adds further depth into a already satisfying musical arrangement. Dead Young has many catchy elements, one being the relatable lyrics, which look back on a young relationship and eventually telling someone goodbye, and mean it, even when they call drunk at 3am.

Only The Poets make this song sound so effortless, we definitely recommend listening to Dead Young, and really hope they continue to produce great material.
