Motions – Back & Forth [Review]

This is ‘Back & Forth’, the new track from indie outfit Motions.

The indie duo Motions have made a real mark with their music since they burst onto the scene in 2016. The Dublin band already have a well-established back catalogue of great music such as ‘Back to where I begun’ and ‘All I’ve Ever Known’. Their newest track ‘Back & Forth’, in keeping with their previous work combines driving guitars, raspy lyrics and minimalistic textures. The single was produced by Philip Magee who is well known for his work with Kodaline, Miles Kane and The Script.

Although the band only formed a few years ago, they have a growing fan base. The boys have said they take inspiration from the likes of Foals, The Rolling Stones and Royal Blood. If they continue in the manner that they are they may reach the heights of their idols sometime in the future. In a decade in which indie music seems to be absolutely everywhere, Motions have truly succeeded in making music in which catches people’s attentions.
