MonClaire — Substance [Review]

New York-based artist MonClaire released his latest album ‘Substance’ in 2018.

Having performed with the likes of Riff Raff and Kirko Bangz, the rapper and singer/songwriter is definitely on his way to becoming a well-known artist in the rap genre.

MonClaire’s cheeky lyrics and strong vocals stand out against a beat so catchy it’s impossible to not move along to the tempo. Similar in musical style to Mac Miller or Post Malone, MonClaire is doing everything completely right to move and grow with the hip hop genre while simultaneously situating himself to be a viral hit at clubs or parties across the globe.

‘Substance’ features a wide range of beats and techno/synthetic instrumentals, showcasing MonClaire’s clear understanding of music and its ability to both inspire and understand — and more than occasionally, let loose. Listening to ‘Substance’ isn’t just intriguing, thanks to MonClaire’s ingenious lyrical ability and instrumental variety, it’s utter fun, and frankly will have listeners feeling like every day is the weekend with every track.

Fans of ‘Substance’ will be glad to know MonClaire is set to release 10 new singles with videos in 2020, also within the pop/hip-hop genres.
