KINDRED – In The Darkness [Review]

Somerset based collective KINDRED recently dropped their latest EP, In the Darkness.

KINDRED create a crowd-pleasing folk-rock sound, with pop sensibilities adding to their clear widespread appeal. There a subtle country vibe to their music too, with hints of authentic Americana influences.

This unique and intriguing sound is perfectly complemented by soulful vocals, which tell a story of both passion and emotion, as each track covers a different theme from love and loss to the more upbeat sounds of city living.

Hailing from the heart of Somerset, KINDRED are not only inspired by the rhythms of everyday life but also the beautiful countryside that surrounds them.

Their success thus far has seen the 6-piece perform a roster of captivating live performances taking their music from festival to festival, including the iconic Godney Gathering. Not only that, their music has already garnered the support of Radio DJ’s at BBC Radio Somerset, Glastonbury FM and more.

You can keep updated on their lives dates for summer 2019 and beyond on their website here.
