Jason Miller – Break [Review]

Electronic producer Jason Miller and vocalist Reybekah Larson make a wonderful electronic pop duo on his latest single ‘Break’.

The song is intended to be a mini-vacation, but not in the way one might think. Even though the track is at 120 bpm, Jason, through the low-key verses that slowly build to an explosive chorus, conveys the idea of taking a rest.

This track blends the minimalist vocals of Rebekah and relies on the synths and special effects to create an anthem that falls under the progressive house umbrella, just one of the subgenres Miller seeks to explore.

When creating his tracks Miller has drawn inspiration from a variety of genres including trance, techno, hip-hop, and dubstep. In terms of artists, he cites Skrillex, Peggy Gou, and Moodymann as influences. Fans of artists like Kygo and Calvin Harris will enjoy this track and experience the much needed break that Jason so perfectly executed through this song.
