Jali Mudd – Darling [Review]

Darling is the new release from songwriting duo, Manny Talvez and Joshua Ali, AKA Jali Mudd.

Following on from their 4 track EP, Jali Mudd have dropped another tune perfectly suited to those long summer nights. The perky bassline brings the funk to the already playful rhythm guitar, with the sprinkles of synth only adding another string to the songs bow.

There are many influences present, ranging from the vocal styling of pop pioneer Prince, to the dulcet bass tones of the less obvious, Orange Juice. It’s a fantastic mix of sonic sprightliness, that has been moulded by the duo to appeal to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
