Jack Bratt – Will You Ever [Review]

‘Will You Ever’ is the latest indie-pop anthem from upcoming songwriter and musician Jack Bratt.

Inspired by his own story of romance and his epiphany on how love can help you evolve, this track is about to hit the hearts of music lovers worldwide. With a groove that will take your mind away from 2020, Jack Bratt has crafted his musical genius into a story we can all relate to. After falling deeply in love, he also fell unsure of how to sustain the relationship, but in writing ‘Will You Ever’ he quickly realised that love isn’t a destination, it’s a verb, a doing word and ever changing. Making this clear in his lyrics alongside the catchiest melodies we’ve heard all year, Jack Bratt is about to take his message to the masses.

Jack Bratt has emerged as one of Australia’s most engaging new solo artists. From performing with Triple J Unearthed Band Shifter, to fronting Blonde on Blonde, Jack has played with some of the biggest names in the game such as Tame Impala, Wolfmother and INXS and hit well known festival stages such as The Big Day Out, SXSW and NXNE. After spending time in a writing lull, Jack found his inspiration to apply for the prestigious Grant McLennan fellowship award, which he ultimately won in December 2019! This led to spending the year releasing music and finding himself as a solo artist, while also gaining recognition in publications such as NME and Rolling Stone Australia. ‘Will You Ever’ navigates through his most diverse musical territory yet, drawing inspiration from artists like James Blake and Frank Ocean. While offering lush harmonies and soulful guitar, Jack Bratt maintains his own signature sound and unparalleled story telling!
