Evelyn – Honey [Review]

‘Honey’ is the electric new single from Brooklyn indie rock band Evelyn!

Right from the get-go, this song is so fun to listen to with its fiery guitar riffs, courtesy of Drew Broussard and sassy vocals from singer-songwriter Dani Lencioni. ‘Honey’ is a track charged to the max with energy and is just the kind of song you want to hear blasting through speakers!

This lively track doesn’t appear to lack anything with its catchy lyrics and captivating vibe. ‘Honey’ captures a somewhat vintage essence with its lo-fi, 90’s sound but also somehow manages to sound refreshing and vibrant. The lyrics are beautifully simple and the whole song seems to flow effortlessly with almost quick and easy half rhymes that emphasise the sense of curiosity, “but did I hear you call me honey?”

‘Honey’ is the second single from their second EP ‘Slowly’ which was released on 6th April and produced by Lora-Faye Ashuvud and Andrew Sheron.
