Cereza – Trapped [Review]

Trapped is the latest indie-pop tune from Cereza.

If uplifting dream-pop melodies and lucid basslines is your bag, then look no further than Cereza. From the first second, you are drawn to the jangly guitar work and dulcet vocals. As you jump into the sensuous flow, you are immediately put at ease. It’s like the music is washing over you like some dreamy waterfall.

Like all great indie-pop tunes, Trapped has memorable guitar hooks and an unmistakably twee essence that conjures a certain cosiness throughout. It’s Mac Demarco meets Empire of the Sun, as the echo infused guitar slices through the groove-filled bassline. Trapped is the latest in a long line of releases from Cereza, and hopefully, you won’t have to wait long for more.
