Twee Austrian art-rock artist and multi instrumentalist, BASWOD has returned after a two year hiatus to blow you away with two new tracks from the new album, ‘Four’.
Both Sleep and Drive have an awe-inspiring way about them, putting you at ease from the very first moment, like the feeling you get when someone tells you that everything is going to be alright. Not too dissimilar to artists such as James Blake, the whispered vocals tingle the senses, delicately circling around your head. They are magically moulded and match the hollow essence that seeps out of these chilled tracks.
And its not just the music that’s impressive.
Both videos are a joy to behold, keeping with the ethos that less is more. Aesthetically pleasing, both centre around landscapes that have a certain perpetuity to them. This style of filming mirrors the minimalist tones perfectly, taking you on an journey, created by blending the two art forms wonderfully.
Stylishly stripped back and carefully arranged, Dominik Linder (BASWOD) uses a mix of the guitar, banjo and keys, creating two songs that exude class. With ineffable yet familiar tones from start to finish, it strikes a chord with you and fosters a perfect pallet cleanser, a breath of fresh air.
You can find both tracks already as the album dropped on 18th Feb, so have a listen and fall into the so-chilled-out-its-horizontal vibes!
