Almost Owen – We Out Here [Review]

Pop singer, writer, and producer Almost Owen’s latest single ‘We Out Here’ is the perfect background music to all your summer mischief and mishaps.

Almost Owen is no newcomer to the scene. He began his career at age 11 playing in jazz bars and clubs. Eventually he was able to grab the attention of Jamey Haddad who granted him the opportunity to play on sessions with legends like Paul Simon and Kenney Werner. Fast forward to the future and he has played over 500 shows and 12 different countries.

This experience is much different than the one he writes about. ‘We Out Here’ is a millennial anthem about living large- even if you’re still under your parents roof. It’s simple, sweet, and super easy to sing along to. The song is reminiscent of the early 2000’s, where repetitive but catchy choruses ruled the charts. His vocals are well suited to the track and compliment the lyrical themes. As he plans to release music every month this year, it will be interesting to see how his sound takes on a life of its own.
