Almost Owen – One Lucky Man [Review]

If there’s any song you should listen to with your friends at a pub, a picnic, or just riding in the car this summer, this is it.

Boston-born-and-based Almost Owen promises songs straight from his heart to fans’ ears, according to his Facebook page. If you’ve listened to any of his music, you’d know he is telling the truth.

AO bursts into the summer music scene with his newest single, ‘One Lucky Man’ (mixed by Jonathan Castelli). The pop-electronic track is a sort of spirited thank you letter; gritty authenticity in lyrics with strong vocal ability catapults the single among the ranks of the best of summer 2019.

The singer-songwriter described ‘One Lucky Man’ as “a playful ode to the friends we spend our best moments with—the ones who also see us at our worst.” How I like to think of it is, if saying “I love you” isn’t your thing, just send your friends the link to this song.

This single follows the 17 May release of ‘One In A Million,’ which has since gained close to 100,000 streams. With the 14 June addition of ‘One Lucky Man,’ fans of AO are in luck for a summer of soul.
