Alex Siegel – Daydreaming Pilot [Review]

Alex Siegel’s new single ‘Daydreaming Pilot’ is a dreamy, chilled out track inspired by love, longing and heartbreak.

Making honest music, Alex Siegel was born and raised in Santa Monica, California, and influenced by a whole variety of genres from jazz and folk to pop, and hip-hop. The 28-year-old multi-instrumentalist musician/producer creates echoing songs that tap his eclectic inspirations to invite listeners on a journey somewhere warm, beautiful and new.

Alex spent the last year working in music studios in LA and touring with various artists such as Malian guitar virtuoso Vieux Farka Touré on keyboards and folk-pop band Nine Pound Shadow on drums.

‘Daydreaming Pilot’ mixes together lo-fi alternative pop with influences from the Beach Boys and Toro y Moi. The track is led along by Alex’s haunting vocal ability and immense guitar skills all wrapped nicely together with soothing vocal harmonies.

Alex’s recent single ‘Headspin’ is currently streaming on Spotify’s Bedroom Pop playlist alongside the likes of fellow indie pop producers Cuco, Yellow Days, and Omar Apollo.
