Adam Banner – Rarely Wronge [Review]

This is Rarely Wronge, the debut solo album from alt-country artist Adam Banner.

Rarely Wronge is a concept album examining life, death, and reincarnation. Recorded over a two-year period, this eleven-track album is full of alt-country, alternative rock tunes that touch on all of Adam’s various musical influences.

The new album is centered around simple, acoustic guitar chords that are subtly enveloped by synthesizers, manufactured beats, driving bass lines, and full drums, with just the right amount of slide guitar and harmonica to keep the music honest.

The mix-mash ultimately takes what initially seems like standard Oklahoma singer-songwriter fare into an entirely new direction.
